Enough positives in Asia to avoid a ‘taper tantrum’ repeat

Asia has been a difficult place to invest in over the last few years – but it is a different story now, writes manager of the T. Rowe Price Asian ex-Japan Equity fund Anh Lu in FT Adviser. Attractive valuations, earnings growth, and rising regional economies – exacerbated by positive reform momentum and low oil prices – have moved Asia away from the so-called ‘temper tantrum’ of May 2013.
