The challenge of decarbonisation

“Industry, transport, materials, energy and energy suppliers, a large number of ESG strategies exclude these polluting sectors. For good reason, they are responsible for 90% of carbon emissions on the planet. To ensure that money invested will reduce CO 2 emissions in the long term, and across all these sectors of the economy, we must tackle the problem of global emissions by improving the steel, chemicals, shipping, aviation, cement, mining, and packaging sectors.”

In Allnews, Joe Mares, portfolio manager of the ESG Emissions Impact Fund at Trium Capital, discusses the challenges of decarbonisation from an ESG perspective.
