Should fund managers be getting tougher with companies they invest in?

Shareholder revolts at some of the top FTSE 100 companies suggests that fund managers are expecting a lot more from the companies they invest in. Neville White, who heads up asset manager EdenTree’s socially responsible investment (SRI) policy mentions in Money Observer that there is clearly an issue of executive pay in the FTSE 100 and that he is increasingly considering corporate governance before investing.
