Merseyside mulls infra for income

Over a year ago former chancellor George Osborne announced his decision to move forward with the pooling of local authority pension funds, outlining the government’s plans for greater investment in UK infrastructure projects. Merseyside Pension Fund is considering an increase in its infrastructure exposure “through an investment in the Greater Manchester Pension Fund and London Pensions Fund Authority joint venture, as part of a strategic asset allocation review.” Dan Mikulskis, head of defined benefit at consultancy Redington comments in Pensions Expert.
