Eric Moffett, portfolio manager of the T. Rowe Price Asian Opportunities Equity fund, tells Fund Strategy why Asian equities are only now recovering from the 1997 Asian crisis. He explains that post-crisis increases in corporate spending were irrationally managed and that only now is capex being handled with more discipline, thereby increasing return on capital and boosting Asian equities.
