European shares are cheap: time to get greedy?

Investors drew back from European stocks throughout 2016, with market sentiment close to its lowest level since the 2011-2012 sovereign debt crisis. Political and macroeconomic uncertainty is still the main source of anxiety among investors. However, Martin Todd, European equities portfolio manager at Hermes tells Money Observer that scepticism and anxiety could be signals of opportunities, as European companies are going to have to develop and adapt over the coming years to create their own destiny. Those investors who recognise this will eventually be rewarded.
