CEO Pay Drops But Shareholders Must Remain Vigilant

Dr Hans-Christoph Hirt, head of EOS at Hermes Investment Management, tells UK Morningstar that despite recent reductions in excessive executive pay, shareholders need to keep scrutinizing remuneration policies of the companies they invest in. He highlights the fact that many issues remain, including a very significant gender pay gap at the top of UK companies. Hirt flags companies like WPP and IMB whose remuneration reports Hermes will not support.
