Markets buoyed and relieved by French vote, but further volatility expected

Le Pen’s strong showing in the first round of the French election will result in some volatility in the short term, particularly for currencies. Andrew Wilmont, senior portfolio manager for European High Yield strategies at Neuberger Berman, believes that despite the uncertainty before the second round the outlook for Europe is still positive considering low interest rates and an undervalued currency.
