The UK pension landscape has undergone profound change in recent years, with changes in regulation and a decline in defined benefit. Concerned about a pension crisis, Lord Hutton of Furness and independent investment consultant Redington commissioned a report to explore how the UK should encourage people to save for retirement – entitled The Age of Responsibility. As Redington’s retained communications agency, the consultant further entrusted KL Communications to raise nationwide awareness of this report and spark ongoing debate.
While Ardevora Asset Management offered a unique investment proposition grounded in cognitive and behavioural psychology, as well as strong fund performance, the group was aware it needed to create more visibility of the Ardevora brand and further highlight its key messaging to current and potential investors. Therefore, Ardevora initiated contact with KL Communications in 2013.
While a household name in Scandinavia and many parts of Europe, Nordea Asset Management understood its brand and product profile in the UK market lacked visibility, particularly in the wealth management space. Therefore, Nordea appointed KL Communications in the summer of 2013 to build its corporate narrative and raise awareness of its underlying strategies – both in the press and directly for the clients of Nordea.
While T. Rowe Price had a reputable standing in the US, it lacked brand and product visibility in both the institutional and wholesale segments in many other areas of the world. Therefore, KL was appointed by T. Rowe Price in early 2013 to execute PR across the UK and in selected European outposts, as well as provide content and strategic direction for communication efforts across EMEA.
