‘A wasted opportunity’ – asset managers slam Government’s pay ratio rules

Neville White, head of SRI policy and research at EdenTree Investment Management, responded to the the Government’s corporate governance proposals saying that they did not go far enough. He tells Fund Strategy that the watered down proposals failed to create a mechanism for change and was a wasted opportunity to reign in runaway executive pay by not empowering an annual shareholder vote on pay.
